I really wish that The Place hadn’t deposited my severance as a lump sum. I did the math, and I lost a couple hundred bucks to extra taxes. Yes, I’ll get it back next April in my tax refund. *sighs* But I would still have rather had my six weeks of severance spread out into three bi-weekly paychecks so I could have that extra money now.

Yep, I got laid off today.

But I also got offered six weeks of severance pay. Which is way more than I expected (I didn’t get any severance when I got laid off from L’Office. I just got a text from fionaniconnor, who was waiting for a client downstairs and logged into our Wifi and thought The Place name looked familiar. "Hey, do you work at [address]?"

So I popped downstairs for a quick visit while she waited for her client to show up.

Oh my god, I almost just gave myself a heart attack. I thought I'd managed to delete two days worth of work in an online app (that has virtually zero documentation on how to use any of the features).
